We are Pregnant!

{I wrote this post on the night I find out.}

I can not believe this is happening!

Josh is out watching football with his friends.

I was just sitting around doing nothing and thought "oh i guess i will just take a test!"

I did.

I prayed while I sat and waited.

I prayed that if we were suppose to be parents at this time that we would be.

When I turned and looked at the stick my heart dropped.

I didn't know if it was 2 lines or 1!!!

It had to be 2 I thought!

I cried.

Then I pulled it together and went to target.

I needed the stick to say "pregnant"

I wouldn't believe it unless it was literally telling me I was.

I drank a full bottle of water on the way home.

and then...

there it was right in front of me, clear as day.

PREGNANT!!!

I couldn't wait to tell Josh!

I had to tell him cute so I pulled together something really cheesy and now here I am waiting for him to get home.

I can't even breathe right now.

I have never been more excited in my life!

I have so much to look forward to!

I AM GOING TO BE A MOTHER!!

Everything in my life has built up to this moment right here!

I have never been happier than I am right this second!

I am so lucky so be married to the most amazing man in the world.

He is going to be the best Dad a child could ask for!

He is so beautiful in every way and with him by my side I know we will be great parents.

It FINALLY came out!!!

I have been waiting for this movie for waaaayyy too long!

Patiently awaiting Channing Tatum...

My excitement showed I think.

Well it ended up being a good movie.

I was kinda sad with how it ended, but it was realistic.

I think I built it up so big in my head that nothing could have been as great as my brain version of the love story.

We ate popcorn and drank sodas.

We watched two of the hottest actors ever.

Some of us cried. HAHA!

It was the perfect girls night!

we just can't kick our colds here in the hunting house!

i got sick last week because it is going around my classroom.

then, i came home yesterday and my poor hubby got my cold!

it's all sniffles and coughs over here.

i have made grilled cheese sandwiches & tomato soup twice in one week.

even though being sick has been pretty sucky...it is kinda nice just cuddling up with a blanket on the couch and watching movies.

so happy it's the weekend and i get to be lazy and relax!!

Our weekend in Tahoe was so amazing!

We had the best time with our friends and it was very relaxing.

The cabin was beautiful and we are so thankful to the Munsons for inviting us!

We normally dread the snowy months, but for some reason we are looking forward to it this year.

Plus, I did have two scarfs on.

Wisdom Teeth.

{Before I begin this post just know that I am laughing hysterically while composing it}

I got my wisdom taken out on November 3rd.

I thought it was going to be a piece of cake.

Go get some teeth pulled and sit at home eating some pudding for the next couple days.

Not me.

Of course I get dry socket and end up feeling as if I'm dying for a whole week.

Okay, so I might be a drama queen.

But dry socket was pretty sucky to say the least.

All in all I was on a liquid diet for a whole week.

{can you say pizza craving??}

I had to take two days off work.

And the dry socket dressings that they put in my mouth made me throw up everyday.

But, even though it was a pretty horrible experience I have to admit that it did get some laughs.

I'm sure you are wondering why getting wisdom teeth out would be funny?

Well, you haven't seen me after I get out of sedation.

Here we go.

Do I remember taking it?...No.

I have zero recollection of snapping this picture.

Which is seriously funny because even in my drugged out state I remembered I needed to blog.

Josh said he doesn't remember me taking it either.

Josh was a sweetheart and took such good care of me.

He brought me breakfast in bed.

Watched the game show network with me for a full 12 hours one day.

{Favorite Game Show: Family Feud}

Brought me my favorite soup from Zupas.

And made sure I wasn't overdosing on percocets which was probably the best part cause I was a straight up pill popper that whole week!

When I first came out of sedation Josh said I was shaking uncontrollably and he literally thought I was going to die.

I don't remember that either.

But I picture it in my mind and for some reason it makes me laugh really hard.

This video however makes me laugh harder.
Just a quick back story...
Before I went in for the surgery the oral surgeon told me that my roots were wrapped around the nerves and I could lose feeling in my lip permanently.
He said that I would get use to it with time but it would be numb.
So after knowing that....

Last night we went and saw Paranormal Activity with Jeff and Nicole!

Any movie that makes boys scream too is soooo okay in my book!

After every scary part we would all scream so loud and then laugh at ourselves.

After the movie I was totally freaked out.

When we got home I was following Josh around the house like a little puppy!

My stomach hurt so bad cause I was clenching it so tight with fear for two hours!

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Because scary movies are so fun!

We can't wait for Halloween tomorrow!!

San Diego Day Two & Three.

Gone Shootin'!

On Kym's Birthday the guys decided to take us shooting at a gun range!

Lets just say it wasn't a day at the mall.

The first shot was so loud and scared us so much that we about walked out right then and there.

I'm not a fan of fire arms, but I thought it would be a good idea to learn how to use one.

Josh was a fabulous teacher!

I look pretty hardcore...I know.

I fit in completely at the shooting range.

Everyone was wearing leggings, boots, and accessories.

Total gun attire.

For dessert we went to Extraordinary Desserts!

It was so delish!

The only downside was it was $10 just for a piece of cake!

But, because it was Kym's special day my Dad spoiled her.

All day he kept singing "It's your Biiiirrthdaay..uh huh..oh yeah!"

It was the perfect last night in California!

...or so we thought.

We were suppose to fly back to Vegas the next day.

But due to some crazy out of this world traffic we missed our flight!

We were flying out of LA so we couldn't drive all the way back to my Dad's and then turn back around the next day so we stayed the night at the Marriott in Burbank!

It ended up being pretty fun!

We ate junk food and watched movies all night.

The next day we had so much time to waste so we slept in and took it easy!

Finally we got on a flight at 5:30pm!

Once we got to Vegas we enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by my Mom and then we were off!

We didn't arrive back home until 3:00am Monday Morning!

What a Vacation!!!!

After the Conan show we went up to San Diego to spend some time with my Dad's side of the family.

While everyone was at work and school, Josh and I went and met Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt June for some lunch!

We arrived in Burbank California at 8:00pm on Tuesday night!

We rented our car, went and got treats, and then went to our hotel room.

The next morning we woke up and it was CONAN TIME!!

They wouldn't allow any video devices or cameras in the studio so most of the pictures below are from the actual show, but I found them on the Internet.

I came home to these on Wednesday.

I asked Josh what he got as I was opening it.

He said they sent him the wrong shoes.

I wondered how they could mess up so badly.

The shoe looked my size and girly.

I said "Uh yeah! These are girls shoes."

Then he said "OH yeah. They are for you."

I was so confused but then I realized he gave me a present for no reason!

I asked "For mee??! Really?!"

I was so excited!

I have wanted nice gym shoes for forever!!

I LOVE THEM!!

I was in seventh grade.

Alright, I am officially horrible at taking pictures lately.

It's not because nothing we do is picture worthy.

It's because I am just enjoying myself in the moment to even think about taking a picture.

I need to get better.

Starting...next week!

I was so extremely sick on Friday and I was so sad that the weekend had come and I was going to be in bed all weekend.

Luckily, I have a Husband.

He takes care of me.

I had a horrible fever and I couldn't eat anything so he went and got me a Jamba Juice and I was able to stomach that so I could take medicine!

I slept for probably 13 hours and my fever finally broke during my sleep.

Even though I took no pictures of our Saturday it was a picture perfect day.

When I woke up on Saturday morning it was like I had never been sick.

I said "I feel soooo much better!"

Josh said "Well you should...you slept forever!"

Once again proving to be the funniest person in my life.

Our Saturday.

We went to the movies.

Kettle corn and diet coke was necessary.

We movie hopped.

We saw not one, but two movies.

Our day would have been perfect if we stopped there, but we didn't.

We went mini golfing on a double date.

We played couples.

Loser had to buy the appetizer at dinner.

We won!

I got a hole in one!!

{When does that happen?....I didn't even have my glasses on!}

We ate at Happy Sumo.

Vegas Roll please!

We finished the night off by laying on the couch watching our new favorite show Breaking Bad.

It's days like that when I know everything is right.

When I know I can get through anything because I have days like that to look forward to.

It was a perfect day.

Days will come and go, but perfect days are the ones you should remember.

Tonight Josh and I went on a little date.

It made me really happy.

Josh wanted to take his buddies motorcycle for a spin so we headed up state all the way to yogurtland.

We shared red velvet yogurt with raspberries and cookie-dough chunks.

It was romantic.

I realized I like motorcycles and if I had enough money I would buy Josh one.

But I don't. So I can't.

Maybe one day:)

Life is busy right now, but we are looking forward to Fall!!

It all started when my Mom called me and said "let's go on a vacation together!"

A month later she was flying to louisiana!

Fort Walton Beach is only five hours away from where we were staying this summer so that was obviously where we planned our vaca getaway!!

alright.

so i'm a preschool teacher.

people know this.

my school did a relocation process this year, meaning that everyone would be switching centers.

they asked us where we would like to be placed.

i of course said orem or provo.

i also said I would like to be full time this year.

{i was only an afternoon teacher last year and i wanted to be morning and afternoon this year}

but here is the kicker...the only full time position available was in Heber Utah.

so...that was where i was placed.

???

you can imagine my shock and disappointment considering i live in orem.

which is 40 minutes away from Heber.

also, to get to Heber i have to drive through a canyon...in emmy.

{emmy:1997 honda civic. aka:my car}

needless to say i spent my sunday extremely upset/angry.

i was acting pretty pathetic to be honest.

it was like someone i loved died.

{i can be dramatic}

I am still very unhappy with this verdict, but this is my life now.

i will be a commuting teacher.

i will drive through snowy canyons in my 1997 honda civic if i must.

{that last line was for Josh. whisper voice: neww carrrr}

i will not be negative about it and i will still love my job as much as i did when it took ten minutes travel time.

this quote helped me realize that having to work in Heber wont be the end of my world.

i tell him to stop because i need them for a salad.

well this morning josh says to me

"your gonna have to hide these cashews if you really need them"

my reply: "i wouldn't have to hide them if you didn't eat them"

his reply:

"nobody puts baby in a corner....and nobody tells me i can't eat my cashews"

i died laughing.

moral of the story....

if you quote one of my favorite movies i will let you eat my salad cashews.

since we got here we have wanted to go to new orleans and see the destruction from hurricane katrina.

it was really something else to say the least.

i can't even imagine what these people went through.

about 90% of new orleans evacuated.

the other 10% didn't get so lucky.

people couldn't afford to leave, but it turns out, they couldn't afford to stay either.

we headed to the lower 9th ward of the city.

this is what they call the "destruction zone"

so sad.

The Louisiana weather these past couple weeks has been very unpredictable!

Rain clouds will come out of nowhere and ruin a perfect pool day!

But not this day.

This day the sun came out after a whole week of hiding.

We couldn't sit around any longer.

What do you do when you have eight rafts and ten hyper woman?

You have a Relay Raft Racing Rampage of course!

Relay Raft Rampage Rules:

Start out of the water.

Jump onto raft with out falling off.

Swim to other side of pool and tag teammate.

Teammate takes raft and jumps in.

Swim to the other side.

First team to the other side wins.

Teams were formed.

Injury's occurred.

Tops of bathing suits came off.

Laughing happened a lot.

On my way down the stairs yesterday I saw something scurry down a stair.

Remembering my experience in Kansas I immediately yelled for Josh with a frantic voice and said "SPIDER!!!"

So he came to inspect the situation

{cause we all know I wasn't about to walk down those stairs till "it" was taken care of}

Turns out...it wasn't a spider after all!

{thank goodness! I couldn't handle another summer like that}

It was a tiny lizard.

Now, I wasn't about to make a new friend.

I still dislike crawlers that brake in my house, but at least it didn't have eight legs.

It was kind of cute in a gross way.

I think it's tail was pulled off a while back and that is why it is a weird blue color.

I only know this cause once when I was little I actually liked crawlers and I tried to pick up a lizard by the tail and I pulled the tail right off! I thought I killed the poor thing, but my Mom assured me it would grow back.

Remembering this incident from my childhood, the whole time Josh was trying to get the lizard out the door I kept saying things like "Don't touch his tail!" and "Be care not to step on his TAIL!"
Oh and yes...I did make Josh take the picture above cause I wasn't about to get that close.

Oak Alley Plantation

We started our Louisiana summer off right!

My first day here we visited Oak Alley Plantation.

This is an old sugar cane plantation that has so much history attached.

We took a tour of the mansion and learned about everything that has to do with this place!

My favorite part were the trees!

They are Old Oak trees that last about 600 years.

The trees you see here are 300 years old.

If you look out to the end you can see the Mississippi River

Normally you can't see the River from the balcony of the house, but since the flooding you can see the water for the first time in years.

I wanted to ring this bell so bad.

This was the dinner bell for the sugar cane workers.

After we toured the plantation we walked out so we could see how high the water was.

You can't really tell in these pictures but it's so high!

We are standing at the very top of the levees and that is how close it is.

This is only the beginning of our summer adventures.

We have a so many things on our list of "to-do's" and I can't wait to cross every one of them off!

I am FINALLY reunited with my Hubs!

It took five weeks apart, but we are now in Gonzales Louisiana TOGETHER!

When I got to our apartment I was pretty hungry after a long day of flying.

So I started looking around the kitchen.

Nothing.

The pantry was empty besides some minute oats.

Then I looked in the fridge and what do I see...

Rotten bananas and a full two liter(never been opened) Diet Coke!

HE DOES LOVE ME!!!

He had zero food, but he made sure and had my one true love besides him.

Aspartame filled soda that will one day give me cancer along with everything else in this world.

If that's not love then I don't know what else is.

Last weekend we took a girls trip up to Park City!

My girlfriends boss was nice enough to get us a hotel for a night.

The other day I was shopping at Joannes crafts.

I saw this amazingly cute yellow wreath (Picture above), but it was too much money!

So I left and dreamt about it that night...and the next three nights.

I finally forgot about it.

Then, a week later I was out on a late night Maverick run.

(Diet cokes do that to me.)

When I returned home I saw THE WREATH on my cute neighbors door!

"I wanted that wreath!" I said to my Mother.

Since I am great friends with my neighbor I figured she wouldn't mind if I just took it off her door and simply placed it on mine.

Considering I wanted it first ya know?

So...I stole it.

BUT, don't worry...I replaced it with something else.

Well, I must not have been sneaky enough because as I was taping Mr. Gator to her door she opened it and caught me.

for the price of one at Joannes (A deal that I was not aware of) she is letting me borrow this pretty pink one!

I guess she would have known sooner or later that I stole it.

After all, we do live a door away.

Two years ago today I married Joshua Brock Hunting.

I won't be joining him for five whole weeks!

Thursday afternoon my family arrived in this:

Grandma, Papa, Cousin, Step-Dad, and Mother!

My Dad arrived around the same time, but he flew.

In case you were wondering that is six people!!

Six people who were all visiting just for me!

Why, you ask were they visiting me?

This is why:

I am officially a graduate and my family were all here to celebrate!
