Hogle Zoo

Hogle Zoo!
We took Claire to the Hogle Zoo last month.
She thought it was pretty cool...I think.
It was one of those days where you try to do something nice for your toddler and they could care less & they just want to throw tantrums over the littlest things.
The only thing I knew she really enjoyed was the Merry-go-round.
& even that turned into a tantrum when we had to get off her beloved zebra!
BUT, besides the 19 month old mood swings we had fun as a family.
I think the favorite animals of the day were Elephants and Gorillas.
*Fun story for my own records*
Claire was really into the Gorillas and had her nose up against the window.
She wasn't really paying attention to the large animal, but focusing on something else for a second.
All of a sudden, without Claire knowing it the Gorilla swung up and got right up against the window.
Claire freaked out!  She jumped back so far I had to catch her.
After that she wouldn't go near the window in fear that the Gorilla would try to kiss her again.
It was a parenting fail because both Josh and I just stood there laughing.
Now whenever she sees a picture of a Gorilla she makes scared noises.
It's great.

Diaper strip down.

When it's hot outside you just can't take it anymore...
Sometimes you just need to take off all your clothes and jump in a kiddie pool.

Its a Boy!

We found out this week that Claire is going to have a baby BROTHER!!
We could not be more excited!
Everything is going great with pregnancy and so far I am healthy.
I am {20 weeks} along!
Baby is getting big and I am showing a lot now.
Can't believe we are half way there already.
This pregnancy is going by way faster than my first!
I have only gained 10 lbs so far which is also a huge change from my first time around.
I still haven't really felt lil man moving around yet, but I think it's only a few days away.
I get headaches everyday around 1pm and they last a few hours.
It's the worst, but I will take that over having the same problems I had with Claire any day!
Whenever we ask Claire where her Brother is she runs up and points to my stomach.
We are so excited to see how these two will interact!
I have to say I am a bit terrified to have a boy!
I am a girl's Mama, but I am ready for the challenge!
We don't have any name ideas yet, but it's been fun trying to think of some.
Can't wait to meet this little guy.

Provo Beach Resort

Our favorite activity we did this Winter was going to Provo Beach Resort.
I'm sure you can see why.
We eat ice cream, play games, climb, & go round and round on that Merry-go-round!
Thank goodness for indoor activities when its 20 degrees outside!

Park City...Mom Style.

 I did it!!
I finally took a girls weekend!
Okay, well, it was a girls one night getaway.
Baby steps people...Baby steps.
It was a big deal for me to leave my Claire for a night.
But, it was so much fun & so worth it.
We enjoyed a meal at Ruth's Chris once we arrived in Park City.
We chatted in our hotel suite for hours and hours.
We stayed up WAY too late!
The next morning we woke up and chatted some more while we ate chips for breakfast.
Mexican food for lunch was the best.
Followed by shopping at the outlets.
It was a perfect mini-getaway for all of us Moms!
We all needed it very much!

Claire has a best friend.
Her name is Paige.
She lives across the grass from us.
The girls are two months apart.
They hold hands in the car, share food, give each other hugs, drink each others milk, steal each others toys, & get into trouble together.
They cry at the back doors until we let them play together & recently they have started saying each others names.
It's love.
