August 27, 2012

We had a surprise.
It came in the shape of a human.
She came 3 weeks early.
I want to write a real post about the wonderful experience it was giving birth to our little miracle, but I am too busy right now being her Mommy.
When I get a real chance to sit and spend time writing it I will, but until then here is a sneak peak of our beautiful baby girl!
Welcome to our world Claire McKenzie Hunting
Josh and I are so in love.

Claire's Nursery

Preparing a nursery for a baby is one stressful job.
You have to think about so many things!
crib, changing table, dresser, rocking chair, clothes, diapers, wipes, blankets, binky's....
The list goes on and on!
It was so much fun getting ready for this baby.
I am in love with the finished product and I find myself just sitting up in the chair rubbing my belly wondering what it will be like when she gets here.
I can't wait!
 {Once she gets here I will fill those frames with her newborn pictures and delivery shots}
 {Crib I found on KSL...after a paint job it looks good as new!}
 {Loving my Crib bedding.  I found all the fabrics at the quilting cottage in AF!}
 {Refinished changing table!  I found that at a yard sale for FREE!}
My Dad and Step Mom spoiled us big time and bought us our rocker/glider for the room!  It is as comfy as it looks and I love it!!
 {happy girls are the prettiest}
{Can't get over how many clothes this little girl has and she isn't even here yet!}

I am so happy with the way it turned out!
I had tons of help from family and friends and I couldn't have done any of it without them!
Being on bed rest and trying to set up a nursery was difficult, but luckily I have amazing people around me to help.
Thanks Everyone!
{you know who you are}
Can't wait for this babe to get here so I can meet her!!

36 Weeks!

I am 36 Weeks Prego!
 I have officially been on bed rest for one month.
It has been really really challenging.
It is so hard to do anything when you are suppose to be laying down.
I can't say that I have completely followed all the rules, but I think I have done the best I can.
At 34 weeks my blood pressure had gone down and I was given a bit more leeway.
I was able to leave my house or do a load of laundry which was so nice!
I can't say I have hated every minute of being on bed rest though.
I have been enjoying a few good books and I started a new series on Netflix.
{private practice...it's good...already on season 3}
Just this past Thursday I went to my weekly appointment and my blood pressure has gone back up.
So I'm back to taking it really easy.
I'm also already dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced.
I don't really understand what that means, but I'm pretty sure it means my body is getting ready to pop this little girl out.
I'm feeling major pressure when I stand up and I'm having pelvic pain like crazy.
All good signs according to my doctor.
According to me...not so much.
{uncomfortable}
But it is pretty funny watching me get off the couch or get out of bed in the middle of the night.
The grunts I make are involuntary and every time it happens it is followed by a laugh.
Other than feeling huge and helpless at times-I could not be more excited that the time is coming for us to meet our daughter.

The past two weeks have been exciting for me and Mr. Hunting.
We have gotten all our "big" items and have started placing them throughout our house.
It has been so fun opening up the big boxes and watching Josh put everything together.
I normally lay on the couch while he shreds the plastic wrap off the baby gear and proceeds to put together a bunch of gadgets that are so foreign to us.
{Our swing}
High Chair...
{which is already placed at the kitchen table with the rest of our adult chairs thanks to Josh}
Stroller and Car seat
This was the best to put together.
We were laughing the whole time because we were clicking on every button trying to figure it all out.
They don't make this stuff very easy.
But when it was all put together we both couldn't stop pushing it around the house with big smiles on  our dorky faces.
We are a little excited.
I think we are just about ready for this little baby to come into our world.

Hunting Family Shower!

Last weekend Josh's Mom and Cousin gave me another baby shower!!
I know. I'm spoiled...
This Baby is too!
The theme of this shower was my nursery colors.
It was so cute I almost died.
Janessa is so talented and I loved everything she made!
I was even lucky enough to take it all home to put in the nursery.
 So cute right??
That blanket hanging is a quilt that Laura made for the crib.
I'm in love.

 This is the quilt that Grandma Beci made for baby girl!
I love how it turned out.
The edges are scalloped and the backing is all minky.
I think this will be a favorite!
 Jess, Grandma, Beci, Maddie, Melissa
 Samantha, Janessa, Cindi, Tiff, and Julie
 Laura, Rachel, Ken-z, Kyrstyn, and Jenn
All the ladies that came and showered me and baby girl with gifts and love!
I am so lucky I married into such an awesome family!

 {Fooooooood!! So Yummy!}
 {The bow making table}
I told Josh last night after the shower:
 "I cannot wait to have a little human head to put all those adorable bows on"
He thought that might have been the creepiest thing I have said about our baby yet.
 {Raspberry Lemonade+Mason jars=Cutest drinks ever!}
 {Cupcakes and Lex..two of my favorite things}
 {All my pretty friends}
{Present Time}
 {Bow Making!!}
