Preschool Times

I want to start a new repetitive post called the 'Preschool Times'
My job is obviously entertaining and I feel it is necessary for people to understand just how funny my day to day life is!

Since becoming a preschool teacher many things have happened to me.
I no longer care about getting dirt/paint/snot/etc. on my clothes
I wear crocs everyday
I am 100% more patient
I am obsessed with children's literature
Just to name a few...

About a week ago I realized my hand's were so dry-they were beginning to crack.
My hands have never...cracked!
It occurred to me that I wash my hands numerous times a day.

So, this past Tuesday I decided to do a little experiment!
(Very scientific stuff if ya know what I mean)
From the moment I woke up till the second I went to bed I counted.
I counted how many times I used soap to thoroughly wash my hands.
I counted how many times I ran my hands under water to rinse them real fast.
Whether it was after I went to the bathroom or just in the classroom handling my business-I counted.

The verdict...65 TIMES!!!
And I sit here and wonder why my hands are cracking?!
Am I OCD?
Am I a germaphobe?
No. I am a preschool teacher.

A lotion has been purchased and it now has a new home in my work apron.
(yes, I have a work apron)

Forgetfully Lazy.

Alright, Alright!!
So what, I'm not perfect!
I have this thing..
I leave my stuff...EVERYWHERE!
If you walk around my house you are bound to find six or even seven things
laying around my living room or kitchen!
I guess I just don't notice that I set them there so then I forget to pick them up.
It drives Josh crazy, but I secretly think it is really funny.
I guess the secrets out.
I am Forgetfully Lazy!

Now, because I am a married woman and I understand how much it annoys the Hubs-I try to be respectful and make it a point to go around the house before bed and grab everything I left out that day.

Tonight I picked up:
Tennis Shoes
Boots
Scriptures
Lesson plans
Computer
Earrings
Necklace
Bobby Pins
Empty Maverick 32oz

This is not a joke!
I am this gross/childish.
This was just one day of the Candice tornado.
It is a work in progress!

The Green Mafia.

Went out dancing on St. Patty's day with some girlfriends! We all wore matching shirts and were called the "Green Mafia" all night by some guy who acted like he never saw girls dressed the same before.
On our wayy!!
Grandma Lorna!
Joc Joc
Please note the heels I have on my feet.
They are too tall for words.
I bought them a while back in desperation for black heels.
I said to myself "They aren't that tall."
Well...they are!
About an hour into wearing them they were off my feet.
I was dancing on the dirty floor with no shoes on for a total of two minutes. When I realized I could catch a disease I put them back on and went to find a stool to sit in.
We left ten minutes later. I am a flats for life kinda girl:)

Crawford.

My little brother has had a pretty tough week. He is 13 and from the moment I met him I have loved him. He doesn't deserve to be treated the way he was this week and I hope the people involved feel ashamed.
I love you Baby Brother!

This ones for you Crawf...my lil soulja boy!
Wish we were still that young:)

Locks of LOVE!!!

Before
After
Beautiful girl!

My Sister-in-Law Maddie has one of the biggest hearts in the world. Since I have known her she has wanted to chop all her hair off and give it to locks of love! So last week...she did...in my kitchen!!

Now, if you know me then you know I am a freak about a few things. Number one being my hair. I have been growing it since I was born basically and I will never ever cut it more than an inch.

Anyway, I really admire Maddie for doing such a selfless thing. I know it is something I could never do and watching her do it with a smile on her face with no care in the world was so humbling. You go girl!! :)

Don't expect there to be a 10 inch pony tail sitting on the counter and not have Josh pick it up and pretend he is a super creep with a mullet...
I have never wanted you more baby...
One word...Yum.

The Chocolate!

A.K.A My new obsession!
This is the cutest new dessert cafe in Orem!
They bought an old old house and restored it into a cafe.
The whole upstairs has private rooms with cozy tables and couches.
As adorable as the atmosphere is in this place it is not the best part!
The best part are the DELICIOUS chocolate cupcakes!
(Shown in picture above)

One of my great friends moved this past weekend.
So as a farewell to her we went for dessert at the chocolate!
I of course got my mini chocolate cupcake.
Lex got the dutch chocolate cake.
Jess and Whit got a yummy pazooki and Joc got the same cake as Lexi lu!

I love my friends so much! They mean so much to me and I am so grateful for their impact in my life! I love you Jocelyn Birchall and I know California is where you belong, but that doesn't make me miss you less:)

Love.

This is how I feel everyday!

Ouch.

My whole life I have known to lift a box using your legs and not your back. Well on Friday at work I did not follow my life lessons and I lifted a box of really heavy sensory sand using my back.
I would have used my legs, but I had to reach for it cause there were things in the way. Anyways, long story short I must have pulled something in my back.

Friday after work I came home and took a two hour nap. Saturday I laid around the house most the day. Sunday I laid around the house even more. Today I went to work and I was so mean. I had a short fuse and I probably wasn't the teacher I should have been.

I am now posted up on my love sac with a heating pad and eating fritos. If only I had a diet coke to wash the pain away!

On a happy note...bachelor finale is on tonight!! Woot woot!

Broadway!

Don't be jealous of me...but I know you will be.
I went and saw this tonight at the Hale Center Theater!!
It was so much fun and I loved going with such fun/cute girls!

I decided that I want to be in theater...am I allowed to just decide something like that?...Well I did. I told Josh I will be auditioning for the next production and he laughed at me.
I will show him...I can do it!
(Totally something that would be said in a theater production...I'm so theatrical.)

One of my dreams is to go to New York for the sole purpose of seeing Broadway plays.
(It is on my bucket list...so I made that official.)

I love anything musical...any musical movie that has come out...I have seen it. I knew every word to "The Sound of Music" at age four. I have been singing "Grease" in the shower since I can remember. The most recent musical movie I saw was "Burlesque" and immediately after the movie I was pretending to be a wily temptress and dancing around the house like I meant it. If you know me...you know I'm not lying either.

Ps. If I don't see "The Lion King" this year I will kill myself.

Romantic Getaway!

Being the amazing wife that I am I decided that for Josh's Birthday I wanted to surprise him with something BIG!! So I secretly booked us a night at the Raddison in Downtown Salt Lake for the night of his Birthday. Two weeks before his Birthday he tells me we are going to California with some friends on the day of his birthday( also the day I booked us the hotel.) Obviously I was crushed, but so excited for Cali! I had to tell Josh about the hotel though which completely ruined the surprise factor. I ended up having to switch the reservation to the next weekend and everything was good! About 3 days before we were suppose to go to Cali Josh tells me that we are no longer going due to a crowed condo and no place to sleep. Come on ladies...tell me this would not frustrate you to no end!!! I was so bummed! His surprise was ruined and now we weren't even going to California! I was a bit upset to say the least, but what's done was done and we went to Vegas that weekend instead!

Even though it was no longer a surprise and his Birthday was a week before we still went on our romantic getaway! It almost made it better because it felt like we were going for no reason!
Our room!
That is a sleep number bed by the way and
I have to say I didn't LOVE it! I love our memory
foam bed 10X more :)
The view from our room!
Complimentary cider!
Cheers to a romantic getaway for love birds:)

"The Creep" Reunion.

What you are about to read/see is in fact very embarrassing for me to announce to the public. It only makes sense if I start from the beginning. In high school I had a very tight group of girlfriends. We were all very...hmm..whats the word....different. We were always the girls who didn't care what people thought and we would do the craziest things. Most of the time we embarrassed ourselves but for some reason we loved it. Another thing we did was make up words. We had our own vocabulary. One of our favorite words was "Creep" and is still Creep to this day. We use to call Creeps words like "Chester" and "Sketch." But now it is just flat out "Creep."

Now that you understand a little bit about my past with the word "creep" you will appreciate this greatly. This past week my good friend Jay came to visit from Arizona. It only made sense that we got the crew together for a mini reunion since the only one that doesn't live in Provo/Orem is Jay. We ate great food, watched funny youtube videos, laughed so hard I cried, and....well...found this: Click here to see what we found!!!

Now now I know you are all probably DYING laughing by now because I was peeing myself with laughter after watching that. Probably because this video is showcasing my high school years!! Lets be real..I was a creep then and I'm still creepin' after all these years.
In honor of this master piece of a video, we had to have our own "creep session."
Below are pictures...they might be disturbing to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised. (I watch too much intervention)

I think it is safe to say that we are different.
I wouldn't change it for anything:)
I had so much fun with my fellow creepers!
I am so glad we had this opportunity to get together again!
