Two Week Recap!

It has been forever since I have blogged and I am so happy to be back!
A lot has happened since I said goodbye to my amazingly handsome husband...I went home to Vegas, I moved back to Utah, I started my final semester at Utah Valley University, I started at a new job(which is a story all by itself that I cannot share on the Internet), And I bought a new mac(I am currently blogging on it).
It has been a busy couple weeks and I have been really missing Josh, but it feels good to be back in Utah and get back to normal life again.

Here are some of my pictures from my Vegas vacation
Right after they picked me up at the airport :)
Love my lil bro's!
Had to stop at Einsteins every morning for a bagel
with light cream cheese and turkey bacon and a diet coke

I will miss you..
See you in six weeks sweetie pie! :)

Goin To A Ball Game..Royals Style!

Went to a ROYALS game today and it was one of
the best times I have had in Kansas! Which worked out considering
it was my last day in Kansas and my last day with Josh for a
while! I LOVED IT!!
Top Reasons why I loved a Sunday Baseball game:
1. I was with Josh
2. I got to wear my cute new hat
3. We were with our wonderful friends
4. The ball park was AWESOME
5. Josh and I laughed and enjoyed each other all day long
6. The water fountains(you would be sweating bullets
and then they would save your life...heaven)
7. 32 oz Diet coke on the drive there
8. Everyone's butt sweat..aka swass
9. My sunburn
10. Dancing to the fun music

Best last day ever! :)

Oceans Of Funnnnn!!!!

On Friday, Lexie and Jessie came to Kansas!!! :) They came to help Whitter's move back to Utah, but not before we had a little fun in the Kansas sun!! We went to Ocean's of Fun water park and it was sooo fun! I am so glad they were here for my last weekend in KC!

Finished the night off with a little dinner at Cici's Pizza!! :) It was perfect!

Heart Shaped Things and Goodbye's....

Well it is official...I am no longer working at my dream preschool :( I am so sad to be leaving this wonderful job with wonderful co-workers, wonderful boss's, wonderful children, and most of all the wonderful feeling I get from working there. I know it is time for me to start a new adventure and move on, but I am having a hard time being excited about it at the moment. I have met AMAZING people in Kansas and I will never forget the feeling I have had from spending a summer under rainbows.

Last day of work
aka. Saddest day of summer.
The banner they made me on my last day!
This is a blueberry muffin that one of the
kids made for me! I cried with joy.
My Zebra's
You tell me you wouldn't have a hard time leaving this??...

Daily Affirmation's

I wish I could look in the mirror everyday with this
enthusiasm and confidence!!
This little girl rocks!

Brushetta is YUMMY!

I have been trying so hard to branch out in different directions with the way I cook. I want to start making it a habit to cook healthy meals(No more frozen goodness). It is all about the ingredients you choose and right now I am really into making fresh meals. I made this the other night for Josh and he LOVED it!!

Brushetta of Champions (That is an original name by yours truly)

Sourdough Baguette
Olive oil
4 ripe Tomatoes
9 Basil leaves
1 garlic clove

First you chop up all the tomatoes in a large bowl and make sure no seeds sneak in. Chop the basil and toss that in with the tomatoes. Mix and place in fridge.

While the tomatoes are chilling, heat olive oil in a large pan.
Cut the baguette in diagonal cuts.

Once the olive oil has heated place about 8 pieces in the pan. Flip until both sides are light brown. Place the finished pieces on paper towel and cover with paper towel to absorb extra oil. Take the garlic clove and go over the finished pieces to add some extra flavor!
After all your pieces are crisp and garliced(made that word up).
You can begin to spoon the tomatoes and basil on!
Such a yummy appetizer! ENJOY!! :)

Liberty Jail

A couple Sunday's ago Josh and I went to see the Historic Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith was kept for 4 harsh months.
It was amazing to be standing in the
exact spot where our profit had been.
It was a fun experience that Josh and I shared and
I am so glad we had the opportunity to go.
The ceiling was only 6ft. high.
If you look on the top floor there is no
door handle...the only way inside
was if someone outside opened it.
The stone right above the door is the original
stone that was above the first prison.
Such a fun and spiritual day with my Hubby! :)

Ribbit..."Um..what was that?"

So the other day at work we were cleaning up from outside time when my co-teacher and I heard a very loud ribbit..we pulled back the toys in the shed only to find two little frogs sitting there! So my co-teacher caught one and brought him inside for the children to examine. We had no intentions of keeping the lil guy, but we thought it would be fun for the kids to name him and look at him for a while. The name they chose was "Rainbow." And the whole day they didn't just call him was "Rainbow the frog." haha! It was so fun! I think I enjoyed it just as much as the four year olds! :)
Lil Rainbow the Frog!

I just love Kansas skies! They are always so pretty!! :)
